Is kēpos low-FODMAP?Updated 3 days ago
Yes—kēpos is formulated with ingredients that are individually considered low-FODMAP, making it a smart option for people with sensitive digestion or those following a low-FODMAP protocol. However, kēpos is not yet officially certified as low-FODMAP.
Here’s what that means:
Our key ingredients—like Human Milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs) and human-identical lactoferrin (hmLF)—have been shown in research and clinical practice to be well-tolerated in individuals with IBS and FODMAP sensitivities.
Unlike many traditional prebiotics (like inulin or FOS), HMOs are highly selective—they feed beneficial gut bacteria without triggering fermentation that leads to gas, bloating, or discomfort.
We understand the importance of this for our community. That’s why we’re actively exploring formal FODMAP Friendly testing in future batches—but in the meantime, we’ve built kēpos to align with the principles of a gut-healing, FODMAP-aware lifestyle.
As always, we recommend consulting with your practitioner if you’re currently managing IBS or navigating a strict elimination protocol.
